Enough.

Aren’t you tired? Tired of the fear? The anger? The division?

I have been trying to live micro for the last couple of years but sometimes, living micro and putting your blinders on for the sake of your family, your business, your life… not saying anything or just having a neutral opinion about the world that is revolving around you… creates a bigger problem. Hatred fills the void of your silence.

What has happened in New Zealand and what continues to happen around the world has been a problem for years…decades….centuries…. wars between different religions… wars between different cultures. Wars for resources. War between different ideologies. Wars for dominance. War for Power. War for Profit. War for the sake of war.

Haven’t we as a people and planet been scarred enough?

I am tired of the divide in this country and around the world. I am tired of burying my head in the sand, being quiet on a topic that may bring backlash. And I have been on the receiving end of that backlash for posts I have written. Been stalked. My business verbally attacked. But when something so awful happens, to a country that is so beautiful… a place where my sister, her husband and her new baby live. A place my parents are visiting right now…. I cannot stay quiet anymore.
Yesterday, 49 people lost their lives.

49 People. 49 Human Beings. Men, Women and Children. Died.

In a span of 16 minutes.

All because of some angry white male supremacist & terrorist (and YES, he is a TERRORIST) wants to sow division in an already hateful world. To wage war on those who are different. To those who are just trying to live, in what ever form they can.

Enough.

The world needs to wake up and wake up fast. We are all human. We all bleed red. We all have questions about a higher being and a higher purpose. We all worry about making it to the next day. Being happy. Being healthy. Making enough to live on. Making sure are kids are protected. Making sure WE are protected. We all want the same things. Peace. Equality. Love. I don’t care if you are blue, white, purple, brown, pink, neon freakin green. Everyone has a right to live, to be safe and to have equality, no matter their gender, sexual preference, skin color or who they pray to.

And those who continue to sow anger, distrust and division due to our individual differences (and I am talking from the lonely angry teen all the way to the President of the United States), will learn that they are on the losing side of history. It has been proven, if history is any type of guide, that you ARE on the wrong side of history

As a Strong Woman. As a Single Mother. As a Business Owner. As a Citizen of the United States of America. I say Enough.
I deserve better. My daughter deserves better. My family deserves better. My friends deserve better. My country and EVERYONE who lives insides its borders, deserves better. The world deserves better.
