The Power of Love and Forgiveness
The Power of Love and Forgiveness
I like to think of myself as a forgiving person. Everyone deserves a second chance when they make a mistake. Why would we have erasers on pencils if we weren’t allowed to make mistakes?
But what about the person who experienced the other side of that persons mistake? It was not that’s persons fault so why do they have to be affected by the other persons mistake?
Those who make mistakes are usually forgiven feeling remorse for their mistake but what about the person who was affected by that mistake? How should they feel? They should forgive but what about the lasting affects of what was done to them? Especially when numerous people committed the same mistake to the same person over and over?
You can forgive the multiple individuals who committed these mistakes but you can’t forgive the mistakes or even forget it. Due to this you will be weary of others making that mistake and hurt you again.
Life is about forgiving and forgetting but what happens when the pain is too great to forget?
That is where love comes in. The power of love can make any pain go away… this is true. But can the power of love help you forgive and forget?
Only love and time will tell.
